Rubber Pool Deck Surfacing
Las Vegas
Poured-in-place EPDM rubber aggregate over your existing concrete. Slip-resistant, cushioned, crack-bridging, and built for Las Vegas summers. 2–3 day install, no demolition.
A Premium Surface Built for Las Vegas Pools
Rubber pool deck surfacing is a poured-in-place system made from EPDM rubber granules hand-troweled directly over your existing concrete. At 3/8″ to 1/2″ thick, it creates a seamless, textured surface that insulates your feet from the hot slab below — delivering genuine comfort, slip resistance, and crack bridging that rigid coatings can't match.
- EPDM rubber granules bound with UV-stable polyurethane resin
- Poured in place over existing concrete — no demolition
- Flexible membrane bridges cracks up to 1/8″
- Cushioned surface absorbs impact from slips and falls
- Chemically inert — resists chlorine, salt, and pool chemicals

Engineered for Las Vegas Pool Decks
115°F+ summers, daily thermal cycling, and relentless UV — rubber pool deck surfacing handles all of it while keeping your deck safe and comfortable.
Slip-Resistant When Wet
Textured rubber granules provide built-in traction that stays grippy over time — the grip is in the material itself, not a topcoat that wears off. Exceeds ADA slip resistance standards.
Comfortable Barefoot
The rubber layer insulates your feet from hot concrete below. Low thermal conductivity means heat transfers to your skin slowly, even when the surface is warm.
Cushioned Impact Protection
Same material principle used in commercial playground surfaces. A slip on rubber is a non-event — a slip on concrete can mean stitches. Critical for families with kids.
Bridges Concrete Cracks
Las Vegas concrete moves daily with thermal cycling. The flexible elastomeric membrane spans cracks up to 1/8″ without breaking or showing through — rigid coatings can't do this.
Low Maintenance
Sweep weekly, hose monthly. Reseal every 3–4 years with a pressure wash and clear coat roll-on. Compare that to cool deck's 1–2 year reseal cycle.
UV & Chemical Resistant
The polyurethane binder is formulated for extended UV exposure. Rubber granules are chemically inert — resistant to chlorine, salt, muriatic acid, and pool chemical splatter.
What It Actually Costs
We're not going to make you fill out a form to get a ballpark. For most residential pool decks in Las Vegas, rubber pool deck surfacing runs $15 to $18 per square foot, installed. That includes surface prep, primer, the full rubber aggregate system, and UV-stable topcoat.
For a standard 600 sq ft pool deck, expect $9,000 to $10,800 depending on concrete condition, deck complexity, and color selection. Every job gets a free on-site estimate with a flat quote — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Concrete condition is the biggest variable. A clean, sound slab is straightforward. A deck with significant cracks, old delaminating coatings, or drainage issues needs more prep work before we pour.
Installed Price
For comparison: cool deck runs $6–$9/sq ft, pavers $10–$20/sq ft, travertine $15–$27/sq ft. Rubber sits in the middle on upfront cost with the lowest maintenance burden long-term.

Hand-troweling the rubber aggregate — this is where craftsmanship matters
Done in 2–3 Days.
No Demolition.
Rubber pool deck surfacing goes directly over your existing concrete. No jackhammering, no ripping out material, no weeks of construction in your backyard.
Surface Preparation
Day 1We grind the existing concrete to create a proper bonding profile, fill significant cracks with flexible filler, and clean the surface of all contaminants. If there's an existing cool deck or acrylic coating, we remove any loose or delaminating material — sound coatings can typically stay.
Primer & Rubber Pour
Day 1–2A polyurethane primer seals the concrete and creates the bond surface. Once it tacks, we mix EPDM rubber granules with polyurethane resin and hand-trowel the mixture onto the deck at the specified thickness. Around coping, drains, and expansion joints, we detail the material to create clean, waterproof edges.
Topcoat & Cure
Day 2–3A UV-stable topcoat seals the rubber surface and locks the granules in place. Walk on it in 24 hours. Furniture and normal use after 48–72 hours. No weeks of construction disrupting your backyard.
Dozens of Color Blends Available
From classic desert earth tones — sandstone, tan, warm gray — to bolder options like terracotta, slate blue, and custom multi-color blends. Multi-zone designs, borders, and accent bands are all possible because every pour is hand-troweled.
We bring physical samples to your estimate so you can see the actual colors on your concrete in your lighting — screens don't do them justice.

Rubber Decking vs. Every Other Option
We install both cool deck and rubber pool deck systems — here's how they actually compare.
| Feature | Rubber Deck | Cool Deck | Pavers | Travertine |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slip Resistance (wet) | Excellent | Good | Good | Fair |
| Comfort Underfoot | Cushioned | Hard | Hard | Hard |
| Impact Safety | High | Low | Low | Low |
| Crack Bridging | Yes | No | Partial | No |
| Lifespan | 10–15 yrs | 10–15 yrs | 15–20 yrs | 15–20 yrs |
| Cost / Sq Ft | $15–$18 | $6–$9 | $10–$20 | $15–$27 |
| Maintenance | Reseal 3–4 yrs | Reseal 1–2 yrs | Re-sand joints | Seal annually |
Budget the priority? Cool deck is a great system at $6–$9/sq ft. We install both and recommend the one that fits your situation — we get paid either way.
